What to do in Hudson in May: Live Music, Community Gatherings & Celebrations of Spring

Spring is in full swing in Hudson, and May brings a strong mix of live music, community events, and outdoor experiences, including the return of the Pengrove Market, kicking off its Sunday run and marking the start of the summer season.

This month’s highlights include World Migratory Bird Day at Le Nichoir, a free, family-friendly celebration of nature and conservation, and a standout night of live music with Sandra Bouza at the Hudson Creative Hub — one of those rare performers who can hold a room completely still.

Later in the month, Songwriters Spotlight: Women in Music offers an intimate, in-the-round concert experience featuring local artists, while the Vinyl Swap at Cardinal brings music lovers together for a relaxed afternoon of digging, trading, and discovery.

You’ll also find intimate concerts, hands-on workshops, local art exhibitions, and easygoing community gatherings throughout the month — from songwriter circles and vernissages to vinyl swaps and pancake breakfasts.

Whether you’re planning a weekend visit or just looking for something new to do close to home, May offers plenty of reasons to get out and explore.
