Hudson is lighting up for the holidays — and you’re invited! On Saturday, November 29, it’s the annual hudson santa parade — the perfect way to kick off the most wonderful time of the year. But that’s not all: the holiday season in Hudson is a time of twinkling lights, festive music, cozy markets, and community cheer. Here’s how to make the most of your day at the parade.
The celebration begins with the Night of Lights tree-lighting ceremony. Sip hot chocolate, sing along with the Hudson Community Choir, and watch the town sparkle as the lights are switched on.
Then, find your spot along Main Road for one of Hudson’s most cherished traditions — the Hudson Santa Parade, starting at 5:15 p.m. Bundle up and wave as Santa and his lively crew fill the street with colour, laughter, and holiday spirit.
The magic continues in December with the beloved Santa Claus Parade, organized by the Soulanges Irish Society. Starting at Westwood Senior (69 Côte Saint-Charles) and winding down Main Road to the Community Centre (394 Main), this event is pure joy for all ages. Expect dazzling floats, festive tunes, and plenty of smiles — just be sure to plan ahead for temporary street closures.
No visit to Hudson during the holidays is complete without a stop at the Hudson Christmas Market, open November 21–23, 28–30 and December 5–7. With more than 30 local artisans and makers, this festive market supports NOVA Hudson and fills the historic Alibi Barn with handmade gifts, live music, warm drinks, and good cheer.
🗓️ Market Dates: November 21–23, 28–30 and December 5–7
🕒 Hours: Fridays 3–8 p.m. | Saturdays & Sundays 12–6 p.m.
End your day with a beautiful concert at St. Thomas Aquinas Church (413 Main), featuring the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Youth Orchestra and Valois Community Singers. Enjoy a rich program of seasonal works, from Corelli’s Christmas Concerto to Pierre Gallant’s brand-new La Bonne Chanson (2024).
