Film fans, mark your calendars! From April 20–26, the Hudson Film Festival transforms the Hudson Village Theatre into a week-long celebration of cinema — with award-winning films, special guests, and a program designed to surprise, challenge, and inspire.
Presented by the Hudson Film Society, the festival builds on a long-standing tradition of bringing high-quality cinema to the region, with programming that reflects both global storytelling and local perspectives.
This year’s program offers something for every kind of filmgoer — whether you’re drawn to intimate dramas, compelling documentaries, or standout short films.
Highlights include:
Several screenings include special guests — directors, producers, and artists — offering audiences a chance to go deeper into the work.
Screenings take place throughout the week, with multiple films each day:
The festival offers flexible options depending on how many films you want to see:
Through its regular members-only Monday at the Movies series and the annual festival, the Hudson Film Society has been building a dedicated audience for over three decades. It’s part of the Toronto International Film Festival’s Film Circuit — a national program that brings acclaimed films to communities across Canada.
Whether you come for a single screening or spend the day exploring the full lineup, the Hudson Film Festival is a chance to experience something a little different — thoughtful films, engaging conversations, and a shared audience experience.
Pair a screening with dinner in the village, or make a day of it and catch multiple films back-to-back.
The Hudson Film Festival runs April 20–26, 2026.
Passes are limited, and seating priority is given to pass holders — so plan ahead if there are films you don’t want to miss.
